[BREAKING News] Australia will open its borders to visa holders from February 21
Nearly two years after the Australian government closed its borders to the world, Australia's international borders will be fully reopened to fully vaccinated people, according to the ABC.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced that the new border rules will come into effect on February 21.
"The condition is that you must have two doses of the vaccine to enter Australia," Morrison said.
"That's the rule. I hope everyone follows it."
Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews said unvaccinated travellers would still need to apply for a travel exemption to come to Australia, and if they were allowed to enter Australia, they would have to undergo hotel quarantine.
More information continues to be updated.
